Vale do Lobo Royal — Rocky Roquemore’s course famed for its cliff-carry par three

The course traverses pine forests, lakes, gently undulating terrain and, on its most famous hole, the red cliffs overlooking the Atlantic.

The Royal Course was inaugurated in 1997. Rocky Roquemore developed the course based on Sir Henry Cotton's initial designs, bringing together historical holes with new, more inland sequences.

Roquemore combines generous fairways, deep bunkers, water, and elevated greens. The 16th, a par 3 played over the cliffs, is the iconic image of the resort.

The course is more demanding and spectacular than the Ocean Course. The 9th features an almost island green, and the back nine requires great precision.

Vale do Lobo combines two courses, an academy, practice facilities, restaurants, a beach, spa, tennis, padel, and a vast residential offering.
