UGOLF Mennecy-Chevannes

Chevannes-Mennecy is a long flat inland links designed by Antoine d’Ormesson, wind-exposed and especially demanding from the back tees.

The Darblay family created the golf in 1994 and commissioned Antoine d’Ormesson. The project aimed to bring Scottish-style golf to the Essonne countryside. The club later built strong sporting culture, a Grand Prix and a major junior academy. The course lies near the Gâtinais regional park in open quiet countryside. Flat ground, little wind protection, broad horizons and tall grass create inland-links character.

Difficulty changes strongly by tee. Back tees create several par fours beyond 390 metres and a 539-metre par five. Greens remain accessible from forward tees, while length and wind challenge strong golfers. FFGolf publishes 6,277 metres, par 71, men’s SSS 73. 1 and Slope 132. The front nine measures 3,008 metres and the back 3,269. The 430-metre eighteenth is a severe finish.
