UGOLF Château de Rochefort

Rochefort is a rolling wooded château course designed by Frederick William Hawtree in 1964 on heather and sand, supporting almost year-round play.

Golf occupies a 110-hectare estate dominated by Château de Rochefort, a large replica of Hôtel de Salm. Hawtree created the course in 1964 using forest, sand and slopes. It later joined UGOLF while retaining historic western-Paris character. The property lies between Chevreuse valley and Rambouillet forest, forty-five kilometres from Paris. Mature trees frame fairways on highly draining sandy ground. Elevation provides valley views and heather adds heathland atmosphere.

Hawtree used terrain and woodland lines rather than heavy earthmoving. Elevated tees, tightening doglegs and deep green bunkers demand straight driving and slope judgement. UGOLF publishes 5,627 metres from white tees and par 71. Uneven lies, trees and raised greens make the course harder than its length suggests. Sandy soil creates firm bounce and ground-game options.

Rochefort opens daily outside the year-end closure.
