The Dutch — a Scottish-inspired inland links built below sea level for business golf

The course is situated in the Spijk polder, near Gorinchem, on land that was originally flat, wet, and subject to the drainage challenges inherent in the Netherlands. Extensive earthworks have created inland dunes, mounds, valleys, and water features.

Created from the Made in Scotland network, The Dutch opened in 2011 after Colin Montgomerie and Ross McMurray designed the course on flat agricultural land at Spijk.

Generous fairways, visible bunkers, heavily modelled greens and engineered inland dunes create a modern tournament venue.

The par 71 course is exposed to the wind and remarkably consistent in its quality. The holes are designed for major events and to provide a premium member experience. The 9th, a long par 4, is considered by Montgomerie to be one of the most demanding tests.

The Scottish-style clubhouse, academy and meeting facilities make business networking central to the experience.

Opened in 2011; designed by Colin Montgomerie and Ross McMurray; hosted the KLM Open from 2016 to 2018; regular host of Challenge Tour events.
