Shinnecock stretches across open, rolling hills in Southampton, characterized by sandy soils, tall grasses, and constant exposure to Atlantic winds.

Founded in 1891, the club is one of the five founding members of the USGA. After several initial layouts, William Flynn designed the course in 1931 that shaped its current identity.

Open sandy hills, wind, strategic width, diagonal slopes and exposed greens create major-championship difficulty without extreme length.

The firm and undulating greens present the primary challenge.

This historic and highly private club boasts a clubhouse from 1892, designed by Stanford White, which stands as a true icon of American golf.
