Royal Óbidos — Seve Ballesteros’s final Portuguese design

The site provides breathtaking vistas of both the Atlantic Ocean and the tranquil lagoon, characterized by rolling hills, vibrant Mediterranean vegetation, and expansive, open landscapes.

Opened in 2012, Royal Óbidos was one of Seve Ballesteros’s final course projects.

Broad fairways, deep bunkers, water and contoured greens sit across hills above the Óbidos lagoon.

The course is notably long and features significant undulations; however, a variety of teeing options ensures its playability for golfers of all skill levels.

Hotel, spa, practice and coastal access complete the resort.

Opened in 2012; designed by Seve Ballesteros; one of his last architectural projects.
