Royal Melbourne Golf Club

The West Course is part of Victoria's golfing heritage, reflecting the development of golf around Black Rock. Located in Black Rock, in the Victoria region, this course is set on sandy, firm ground, conducive to integrated bunkers and trajectory play. Founded in 1891, Royal Melbourne moved to Black Rock in the early 1930s. Alister MacKenzie prepared the West Course design, with Alex Russell and Mick Morcom overseeing construction.

The course utilizes its sandbelt environment to organize angles, hazards, and approaches to the greens. The course has 18 holes, a par of 72, and measures approximately 6077 meters from the back tees.

The 36-hole private club has hosted the Presidents Cup, Australian Open and major international events.
