Dormy House is Royal Antwerp’s historic nine-hole course, designed by Willie Park Jr. through the Kapellen woodland.

Royal Antwerp is Belgium’s oldest golf club, founded in 1888, and the second oldest in continental Europe. Alongside the Tom Simpson Course, Dormy House forms an autonomous nine-hole layout. Its heritage and architect connect it directly with the British golf tradition of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The course occupies relatively flat ground within the Kapellen woods. Pine, deciduous trees, undergrowth and sandy soil create a wooded heathland atmosphere. Natural drainage and tree shelter support reliable year-round play.

used narrow fairways, strategic bunkering and fast greens. Tee-shot angles are critical because trees quickly close recovery routes. The long par-four sixth is frequently highlighted as one of the property’s memorable holes. The course is officially presented as a nine-hole par 34. Played twice, club tables publish a complete round around par 66. The test relies less on raw length than directional control and playing from correct positions.

Visitors meeting the handicap requirement may book Dormy House. Facilities include covered range, putting and chipping greens, pro shop, changing rooms, restaurant and historic clubhouse.
