Adare Manor

The Adare Manor course used for the 2007 and 2008 Irish Opens was Robert Trent Jones Senior’s 1995 design. It cannot be treated as a former name for the present course because Tom Fazio’s 2016-17 project rebuilt tees, greens, bunkers, drainage and playing surfaces from the ground up.

The original course opened in 1995 beside the River Maigue. It developed into a major Irish resort venue and hosted consecutive Irish Opens. During the estate’s redevelopment, Fazio retained the broad hole sequence but transformed virtually every playing component.

Jones created a broad parkland resort course framed by mature trees, water and views of the manor. Fazio’s successor is architecturally distinct: every green and tee was rebuilt, all bunkers replaced, and the sub-surface systems and tournament infrastructure comprehensively renewed.
