Picardière Vierzon

Picardière is a flat wooded 5,873-metre par-72 course opened near Vierzon in 1990 and known for sporting and junior development.

Denis Baert launched the idea in 1987, with work beginning on 1 September 1988 under Jean-Louis Pega. The full facilities opened two years later and developed strong teams and junior culture. Almost flat former agricultural land has matured into tree-defined parkland, with two water-influenced holes and easy walking.

Four par threes, ten par fours and four par fives create a classic par 72. Trees and angles reward keeping the ball in play. FFGolf publishes 5,873 metres, par 72, men’s SSS 70. 4 and Slope 130. The nines measure 2,990 and 2,883 metres.

A farmhouse clubhouse, Le Starter restaurant, covered practice, putting, coaching and competition support the course. The six-hole academy is excluded. 18 holes; par 72; 5,873 metres; construction began in 1988; opened in 1990; SSS 70. 4; Slope 130.
