Palmares — twenty-seven balcony holes above Lagos Bay

The terrain slopes from a south-facing hill towards Lagos Bay, Meia Praia beach, and the Alvor estuary. The loops alternate between parkland, dunes, ocean views, and more open areas.

The site already featured an eighteen-hole course when it was entirely redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The new twenty-seven-hole complex opened in 2011 with three distinct loops: Alvor, Lagos, and Praia.

Jones Jr. arranged three complementary nine-hole courses. Alvor is more undulating and inland, Lagos plays with perspectives on the bay, while Praia adopts the character closest to a links course.

The eighteen-hole combinations significantly alter the experience. Oceanic winds, slopes, and large greens provide the course with considerable variety.

Palmares combines golf, a panoramic clubhouse, dining, residences, and immediate proximity to Lagos and the coast.
