The West Course is a jewel in Lazio's golfing heritage, charting the evolution of the sport around Rome. Nestled within Rome, in the Lazio region, this course unfolds amidst a tree-lined park, where fairways weave through trees, bunkers, and water features. The course meanders through a mature parkland setting, with playing lines artfully carved between trees, bunkers, and water hazards. Opened in 1961 to a design by C. Kenneth Cotton, the West Course was almost entirely redesigned by Jim Fazio in 2012.

The course leverages its parkland environment to artfully shape its angles, hazards, and green approaches. The course comprises 18 holes, playing to a par of 71, and measures approximately 6547 meters from the championship tees. It skillfully employs its parkland setting to dictate shot angles, position hazards, and define the challenges of its green complexes.
