Oitavos Dunes — Arthur Hills between dunes, pines and the Atlantic in Sintra-Cascais

The layout traverses dunes, maritime pine forest, natural sand, and open terrain facing the Atlantic, with views towards the Serra de Sintra and Cabo da Roca.

Oitavos Dunes opened in 2001, designed by Arthur Hills, within the family estate of Quinta da Marinha. The course was conceived to preserve as much as possible the protected landscape of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

Hills utilized natural undulations, bunkers integrated into the existing sand, and greens open to ground play. The course combines links characteristics with the ambiance of a coastal pine forest.

The wind, firmness, and changes in direction give the course a highly variable character. The most exposed holes offer a true sense of Atlantic golf.

Oitavos offers a premium experience with a hotel, spa, driving range, and immediate proximity to Cascais and Lisbon.
