Geography & setting
The site occupies a vast open area around the Paalse Plas, featuring water bodies, wide fairways, wetlands, and open horizons characteristic of Limburg.
History
Millennium Golf was developed in Paal-Beringen as a twenty-seven-hole complex around the Paalse Plas. Operations were long managed by Millennium Golf Management NV. This company was declared bankrupt on March 12, 2026, following a dispute primarily concerning rental conditions. The landowners, Joris and Katrien Lowette, subsequently took over operations directly. The course and the Millennium Golf brand therefore continue to exist despite the disappearance of the former operating company.
Architecture
The Championship Course favors modern, large-scale architecture: generous fairways, visible water, expansive greens, and multiple lines of play. The open spaces make wind a central factor.
The course in detail
The course is played on relatively flat terrain. Difficulty arises from its length, water hazards, and exposure to the elements, rather than elevation changes.
Club experience
The complex remains open with a championship course, a compact course, driving range, and visitor facilities. Operational information, rates, and membership conditions should be verified due to the takeover that occurred in 2026.
