Marco Simone Course is located in Guidonia Montecelio, in the Lazio region of Italy. History
The original course opened in 1991, designed by Jim Fazio and David Mezzacane. Following the Ryder Cup allocation, it was completely rebuilt by European Golf Design and Tom Fazio II to host the 2023 edition.
Architecture
The reconstruction created large spectator areas, wide but strategic fairways, highly contoured greens, and numerous holes designed for match-play.
