History
The Magliaso course opened on 24 November 1923 after Erwin von Riedemann created it for his golfer wife Josefa. Percy Dell designed the first nine; Donald Harradine expanded it to eighteen in 1970, with later work by Cabell B. Robinson and Peter Harradine.
Architecture
The compact flat site follows the Magliasina River among birch, oak, fir, rhododendron and azalea.
Club experience
The par-70 course is short by modern standards but technically dense and highly distinctive.
