At a glance
A narrow natural nine-hole course combining open fairways, pine woodland and sandy Kempen soil.
History
Lilse Golf & Country developed as a rural nine-hole club with an informal atmosphere and strong connection to the Kempen landscape. A pitch-and-putt facility complements the club, while the main nine remains a genuine autonomous course for members and visitors. The course lies in the countryside of Lille on flat sandy land. Open fairways alternate with tighter pine woodland. Natural sandy drainage supports reliable playability.
Architecture
Narrowness is the defining feature of several fairways, especially in wooded sections. Inaccurate shots are quickly lost among trees or rough. Visual simplicity hides a technical test. The course plays to par 33 at about 2,152 metres. It is short, but driving accuracy and iron control are essential. Relatively small greens increase the value of the short game.
Club experience
Visitors are welcomed daily with a valid handicap certificate. Practice facilities include driving range, putting, pitching and chipping greens and a bunker. Nine holes; par 33; about 2,152 metres; visitors welcomed; sandy soil; pine woodland and narrow fairways.
