La Canne

La Canne is an exceptionally long 3,264-metre par-36 nine-hole course by Olivier Brizon around Sologne ponds and forest.

The loop is the original blue nine opened in 1992. When Martin Hawtree rebuilt the red and white loops, blue remained and became the independent La Canne course. Ponds, sandy soil, heather and deep woodland alternate without urban intrusion.

Two par threes, five par fours and two par fives include holes of 521 and 545 metres, creating a genuine length test. FFGolf publishes 3,264 metres, par 36, men’s SSS 37. 7 and Slope 72 over nine holes. Repeated, it reaches 6,528 metres.

La Canne shares Aisses conditioning and facilities, with a separate green fee and nine- or repeated eighteen-hole play. 9 holes; par 36; 3,264 metres; Olivier Brizon, 1992; SSS 37. 7; Slope 72; two par fives beyond 520 metres.
