Tespelduyn developed as an estate combining hospitality, dining and golf in the Dutch bulb region. The Bloembollenbaan quickly became recognised as one of the country’s most highly regarded nine-hole venues. The course belongs to a period of Dutch golf development in which clubs aimed to combine sporting quality, accessibility and landscape integration. Maturing planting, improved drainage and stabilised greens gradually created the present character. The club now hosts regular competition, welcomes visitors and links the course closely with practice facilities and clubhouse services. The course moves through flower fields, water and shaped elevation close to the Noordwijk dunes. The landscape directly affects ball flight, bounce and distance perception. Wind is influential across open sections, while trees, banks or buildings shelter other holes.

The par-32 layout uses short but varied holes, elevation changes and well-defended greens that demand accuracy and imagination. The design rewards position and approach angle. A safer route usually exists, but it leaves a longer or less direct next shot. Greens are defended by contour, bunkers and occasional water. At only 1,825 metres the loop appears short, but twenty-three metres of elevation, water and wind increase the challenge. The course has 9 holes, plays to par 32 and measures about 1825 metres in its reference configuration. Multiple tees maintain balance for different standards.

The estate combines golf, restaurant, event rooms and hospitality, making it well suited to groups and business occasions. Clubhouse, dining and practice facilities extend the day beyond the course. For The Round, the venue can support private golf, business meetings and group events.
