Lake Karrinyup Country Club

Championship Course is part of Western Australia's golfing heritage and reflects the development of golf around Karrinyup. Located in Karrinyup, in the Western Australia region, this course is set within a wooded park where fairways are carved between trees, bunkers, and water features, complemented by a bushland-type terrain. It should be presented not merely as a destination, but as a golfing experience unique to Australia, with its history, architectural choices, relationship with the landscape, and the strategic decisions it demands from the player. This geographical understanding must be further enriched by the exact nature of the soils, the altitude, dominant exposure, winds, vegetation, visible landscapes, and the influence of seasons on playing conditions.

The club was incorporated in 1928 after purchasing the Careeniup estate. Alex Russell designed the course, with major later work by Michael Clayton and Michael Cocking.

The course utilizes its parkland/bushland environment to shape angles, hazards, and approaches to the greens. Championship Course features 18 holes, with a par of 72, and measures approximately 6450 meters from the championship tees.

The private club has hosted Australian Opens, Johnnie Walker Classics and Perth Internationals.
