Kilspindie — a compact seaside links where proximity to water matters more than length

The course winds its way between the village of Aberlady, the bay's nature reserve, and the Firth of Forth. Birds, tides, and coastal views accompany almost the entire round.

The course developed from Aberlady’s long golfing tradition and remains closely tied to a strong members’ club.

Its modest length is offset by small greens, coastal angles, and exposed fairways. The design emphasizes precision and strategic play.

Several holes run directly alongside the water, becoming much more challenging when the wind blows in from the Firth.

The round is intimate, quick and deeply local, with the clubhouse facing Aberlady Bay.
