History
Founded in 1984, the club developed a Frank Pennink course later extended and modified by Gerard Jol in 1990 and 2008. The course belongs to a period of Dutch golf development in which clubs aimed to combine sporting quality, accessibility and landscape integration. Maturing planting, improved drainage and stabilised greens gradually created the present character. The club now hosts regular competition, welcomes visitors and links the course closely with practice facilities and clubhouse services. The site lies in the Green Heart near Alphen aan den Rijn, among ditches, water, trees and flat land. The landscape directly affects ball flight, bounce and distance perception. Wind is influential across open sections, while trees, banks or buildings shelter other holes.
Architecture
The course combines a water-rich opening half with a more parkland back section, using angles and defended greens. The design rewards position and approach angle. A safer route usually exists, but it leaves a longer or less direct next shot. Greens are defended by contour, bunkers and occasional water. The par-71 course measures about 5,527 metres and primarily demands consistency and lateral control. The course has 18 holes, plays to par 71 and measures about 5527 metres in its reference configuration. Multiple tees maintain balance for different standards.
Club experience
The public club welcomes visitors daily and offers a short course, practice and dining. Clubhouse, dining and practice facilities extend the day beyond the course. For The Round, the venue can support private golf, business meetings and group events. Club founded in 1984; Pennink and Jol; 18 holes, par 71; about 5,527 metres; separate short course. Fees, ratings, slopes and visitor conditions should be checked before publication.
