Bernhard von Limburger designed the course across former farmland and a landscaped manor estate north-east of Hamburg.

The course utilizes its woodland/heathland environment to strategically arrange angles, hazards, and approaches to the greens. The course features 18 holes, playing to a par of 72, and measures approximately 6100 meters from the championship tees.

The member club combines a demanding course, clubhouse hospitality and a protected natural setting.
