De Berendonck developed as a regional club within a large leisure area. Its 18-hole course benefits from water, planting and open space around the recreation lake. Over time, maturing planting, improved drainage and renewed playing surfaces strengthened the course’s coherence. The club hosts competition, welcomes green-fee players under published conditions and relies on an active membership culture that contributes to maintenance, coaching and the identity of the venue. The site combines water, open ground, woodland and views towards the lake. Nearby leisure activity gives the venue a more public character.
