Golfbaan De Texelse

De Texelse is a modern dune course on the island of Texel, where firm sand, marram grass and North Sea winds shape every round.

The club began with nine holes in 1994, designed by Alan Rijks with landscape architect Michiel van Aalderen. Rijks returned to complete the second nine, opened in 2014, creating a more dramatic dune landscape while preserving the identity of the original course.

Broad dune forms, irregular bunkers, exposed greens and firm running surfaces create genuine ground-game options. The back nine is visually stronger, but both loops share the same sandy textures and wind-driven strategy.

Visitors can book online and combine the round with a full stay on Texel. The ferry journey, island landscape and distinctive dune setting make the course a destination rather than simply a local facility.
