Golfbaan Bentwoud

: a varied loop requiring play alongside and across bunkers and water.

Bentwoud was developed as one of South Holland’s largest public golf complexes. Oostwoud, Zuidwoud and Westwoud form the twenty-seven championship holes, complemented by the shorter Noordwoud par-three/par-four loop. The course belongs to a period of Dutch golf development in which clubs aimed to combine sporting quality, accessibility and landscape integration. Maturing planting, improved drainage and stabilised greens gradually created the present character. The club now hosts regular competition, welcomes visitors and links the course closely with practice facilities and clubhouse services. The complex lies within the largest continuous forest area of the Randstad, in the Green Heart. Water, young woodland and broad views structure the property. The landscape directly affects ball flight, bounce and distance perception. Wind is influential across open sections, while trees, banks or buildings shelter other holes.

The loop alterne trous de formes très différentes et sert de point de connexion naturel entre les autres boucles de championnat. The design rewards position and approach angle. A safer route usually exists, but it leaves a longer or less direct next shot. Greens are defended by contour, bunkers and occasional water. Each loop is qualifying and can be paired with either of the other two to create several 18-hole combinations. The course has 9 holes, plays to par 36 and measures about 3000 metres in its reference configuration. Multiple tees maintain balance for different standards.

Bentwoud offers a major TrackMan driving range, grass range, academy, restaurant and event rooms. Clubhouse, dining and practice facilities extend the day beyond the course. For The Round, the venue can support private golf, business meetings and group events.
