Donnery

Donnery is the oldest course in the Loiret, a historic 5,598-metre par 71 defined by mature trees, classic lines and subtle rhythm.

The golf opened in 1952 at Domaine de la Touche and became one of the first major Orléans-area courses. Specialist sources associate the design with Olivier Van der Vynckt. Mature tree growth has gradually strengthened strategy. The relatively flat course lies east of Orléans among old trees, meadow and limited water. It is easy to walk and feels like an established country club.

Three par fives, four par threes and eleven par fours create a consistency-based test. Trees, doglegs and compact targets reward accurate iron play. Current federation data publishes 5,598 metres, par 71, men’s SSS 70. 2 and Slope 128. Older publications list 5,582 metres and par 72.
