At a glance
Évreux is a long 6,291-metre municipal par 72 combining an open links-like front nine with a wooded, rolling and water-influenced back nine.
History
Jean-Pascal Fourès designed the municipal course as an accessible sports facility three kilometres from the city centre. Sixty-five hectares now support main course, compact, coaching and competition.
The front nine is flatter, longer and wind-exposed. The back nine becomes wooded and rolling with more water, creating two distinct landscapes.
Architecture
Fourès built a two-act course: length and freedom outward, then accuracy, doglegs, trees and water inward. The thirteenth crosses a former railway and the eighteenth follows water.
The current official site publishes 6,291 metres from white tees, while FFGolf has referenced 6,353 metres. The Atlas uses the current club figure and notes the variation.
Club experience
Year-round public golf, visitor access to handicap 54, a thirty-bay range, putting, approach, compact, dining, seminars, buggies and learning programmes support the venue.
18 holes; par 72; 6,291 metres by the current official site; Jean-Pascal Fourès; sixty-five hectares; contrasting nines.
