At a glance
Autun is an unusual municipal course with eleven physical holes, measuring 2,962 metres and par 41 beneath the historic city, with views of the Morvan and major monuments.
History
The course developed beside Plan d’Eau du Vallon as accessible municipal golf. Autun Golf Club uses the same eleven physical holes to create two rated eighteen-hole routings, Rolin and Talleyrand. The Atlas therefore records one physical course.
Hillside ground, woodland, water and views of the Roman theatre, cathedral and military school connect historic Autun with the Morvan landscape.
Architecture
The eleven holes combine par threes, fours and one par five. Elevation, trees and compact greens reward direction over pure length.
Rolin and Talleyrand display 4,934 and 5,072 metres over repeated eighteen-hole cards, both par 68. The eleven physical holes total 2,962 metres and par 41.
Club experience
Year-round access, covered and grass practice, panoramic dining, changing rooms, buggies, seminars, academy and PGA coaching support the municipal venue.
