Golf Lille Métropole

Lille Métropole’s championship course is an open, technical and wind-exposed urban inland links.

Opened at Ronchin in 1998, Lille Métropole was created as a major public sporting facility for the metropolitan area. The complex combines a championship course with an academy loop, providing a complete pathway for beginners and established golfers. The course lies at Lille’s edge across roughly sixty hectares. Open ground, few large trees, long views, shaped mounds, water and strong wind exposure explain its inland-links character.

The design uses large greens, pot bunkers and water hazards. Fairways are visible, but preferred landing areas are defended. Large greens support many hole locations. The course measures about 6,072 metres and plays to par 72. Wind can radically change difficulty. Open fairways create confidence, while bunkers and water punish inaccurate lines.

The venue focuses on public access, coaching and competition.
