At a glance
Les Lacs is Mont Griffon’s main course, a rolling water-influenced par 72 integrated into a large hotel and training complex north of Paris.
History
Mont Griffon developed around 1990 in the Luzarches countryside. From the beginning the project combined an 18-hole course, a nine-hole course, an exceptionally large training centre and hotel. It became a regional reference for coaching, teams and seminars.
The course occupies open rolling Val-d’Oise land close to Chantilly forest. Several lakes structure fairways and reflect broad estate views. Wind acts on plateaus, while lower holes receive greater shelter.
Architecture
Les Lacs alternates reachable par fives, water-defended par fours and varied par threes. Landing zones are generally visible, but hazards force choice between conservative lines and direct attack. Large greens allow hole locations to change difficulty strongly.
FFGolf publishes 5,907 metres, par 72, Course Rating 71. 9 and Slope 137 from the back tees. The two nines are balanced at 2,968 and 2,939 metres. High Slope confirms that water and angles compensate for moderate length.
Club experience
Mont Griffon includes hotel, panoramic restaurant, seminar rooms and one of Europe’s largest ranges, with more than one hundred covered bays and extensive grass practice. The infrastructure suits coaching, corporate groups and combined practice with golf.
