At a glance
Château d’Humières is an 18-hole estate course within fifty-six hectares of wooded parkland, where ponds, streams and mature trees constantly protect the greens.
History
Golf developed in the park of Château d’Humières, ten kilometres north of Compiègne. The property retains the structure of a former formal French garden, gradually transformed into a golf landscape. Club identity combines member life, competition and hospitality with château and park at the centre.
The course occupies fifty-six hectares of wooded estate in the Oise. Fairways cross mature tree lines, ponds, streams and historic garden areas. Elevation is moderate, but side slopes and raised greens regularly alter effective distance. The setting is rural and quiet.
Architecture
Strategy relies on water and strongly defended greens. Several holes require a particular fairway side to avoid streams or open the approach. Greens are often narrow, long or elevated, with deep bunkers. The hardest hole runs beside water throughout.
FFGolf publishes 5,592 metres and par 70, with men’s Course Rating 69. 9 and Slope 134. The course contains four par threes and two par fives, with a strong majority of technical par fours. Water and approach accuracy compensate for moderate length.
Club experience
The club operates year-round, welcomes visitors up to handicap 54 and provides hotel, restaurant, seminars, caddie services, changing rooms, practice and buggies. Proximity to Compiègne and Paris supports events and short stays.
