Château de Cheverny

Cheverny is a 5,992-metre white-tee par-72 château course by Olivier Van der Vynckt around the large Rousselière lake.

The golf was created in the late 1980s on former Château de Cheverny hunting land. Olivier Van der Vynckt preserved woodland, water and natural movement. The current layout is sometimes referenced as Cheverny 2010 after later upgrades. The course crosses historic Sologne woodland, meadow, reeds and lakes. Wildlife is common and holes feel isolated, while subtle mounds complicate lies.

Water appears in varied ways, from doglegs and downhill par threes to reed carries. Holes thirteen to eighteen form a strong lake-side finish. The club and Golfy publish 5,992 metres from white tees, par 72, men’s SSS 71. 7 and Slope 134. Back cards reach about 6,161 metres.
