At a glance
Les Tilleuls is the genuine nine-hole Couharde course, a 2,084-metre par 31 designed for learning, progression and practising long-game shots at real distances.
History
Created alongside Les Chênes, Les Tilleuls reflects Bill Baker’s design and later Jean-Claude Cornillot adjustments. The club uses it for education, practice and short competition rather than simple pitch and putt. The loop runs among lime, beech and open château park. Fairways are compact but provide real playing distances. Deer and the estate calm create a full-course atmosphere.
Architecture
Par threes and fours combine around small greens. Trees and bunkers require trajectory control. The 184-metre ninth from yellow tees is a serious closing par three. The club publishes 2,084 metres and par 31. FFGolf lists 2,011 metres from another tee reference. The Atlas uses the club metric and notes the difference.
Club experience
Visitors up to handicap 54 may play on a dedicated green fee. The course shares château, restaurant, range and services with Les Chênes. 9 holes; par 31; 2,084 metres; Bill Baker and Jean-Claude Cornillot; par threes and fours; learning and practice course; separate green fee.
