At a glance
Les Poursaudes is a 5,879-metre par 72 in the Ardennes, alternating woodland, open ground, elevation and natural water. Fast and sometimes raised greens create a complete test.
History
The golf opened in 1982 at Villers-le-Tilleul and became a lasting Ardennes sporting venue. Member competition, academy and modern coaching developed without erasing the course’s relationship with natural terrain. Pre-Ardennes slopes near Sedan and Charleville-Mézières move from forest to open ground. Uphill, downhill and sidehill lies combine with natural water and changing views.
Architecture
Par threes require stopping power on raised targets. Par fives offer birdie and eagle chances but quickly punish over-ambition. Apparent fairway width can be deceptive because slopes and bunkers define the preferred area. The club publishes 5,879 metres and par 72, with specialist sources showing men’s Slope around 131. Elevation, water and green speed balance the moderate distance.
