Golf de Villarceaux

Villarceaux is a major Vexin château course measuring 6,115 metres, designed by Bill Baker and inaugurated by Jean Garaïalde in 1971.

Golf was created in the early 1970s within the Villarceaux estate. British architect Bill Baker used existing contour and the course was inaugurated by Jean Garaïalde in 1971. It has matured into a wooded competitive venue welcoming outside golfers. The estate lies within the Vexin Français regional park less than sixty kilometres from Paris. Holes alternate forest, valleys, plateaus and château views. Autumn colour is especially dramatic.

No two holes feel alike. Baker used natural elevation, direction changes and water. Greens can be strongly contoured and defended by sand or frontal hazards. The eighth and ninth form the signature sequence. The course measures 6,115 metres and plays to par 72. Men’s white-tee Slope is 131. Uneven lies, fast greens and adjusted distances make the course technically demanding.
