Sologne

Golf de Sologne is a historic wild 5,971-metre par-71 course crossing more than two hundred hectares of woodland, heather and lakes.

The course began after the Second World War when the owning family created golf for guests. Olivier Dongradi later remodelled fairways, greens, bunkers and the clubhouse-lake finish for modern play. More than two hundred hectares contain pine, oak, fern, heather, broom, woodland and lakes, giving a wilder identity than most modern courses.

The remodel retained historic character while widening fairways, enlarging greens and adding strategic bunkers. The eighteenth crosses the clubhouse lake. The official detailed page publishes 5,971 metres and par 71, despite an older par-72 heading elsewhere. Woodland and water create a demanding test.
