Sancerre

Sancerre is a 5,820-metre par 71 by Didier Fruchet among former Loire channels, hedges, mature trees and vineyard hill views.

Opened in 1989 beside the Loire, the course uses existing hedges, river arms and mature trees. The club built regional identity around wine tourism, hospitality and a dense competition calendar. Fairways at Saint-Thibault weave beneath Sancerre hill through wetland remnants, hedges and old trees, with frequent vineyard views.

Natural shapes, narrow fairways, elevated greens, bunkers and water reward accuracy more than raw power. Specialist references publish 5,820 metres and par 71 with men’s Slope around 123. Yellow tees are often listed at 5,523 metres.
