Rigenée — Paul Rolin’s course built around education, junior golf and year-round play

The estate is located in Villers-la-Ville, in an open agricultural landscape gradually transformed by the plantings. Ponds, roughs, groves, and long rural vistas characterize the terrain.

Golf de Rigenée was founded in 1981-1982 by Caroline and Emmanuel Descampe on a former agricultural estate in Walloon Brabant. Paul Rolin designed the course, whose eighteen holes were quickly put into play. More than thirty thousand trees were planted in the 1980s to structure the fairways and isolate the site.

Rolin offers a versatile and readable course, with bunkers, water features, and greens defended without excess. Successive renovations of several holes have enhanced the strategy without altering its overall identity.

The course is relatively flat and playable year-round on summer greens under most conditions. Its length and hazards make it a good test for players of varying skill levels.

Rigenée is particularly renowned for its golf academy, its junior development program, its driving range, and its family atmosphere. Training is a central component of the club's identity.

The Round selects it for its culture of transmission and for a course that truly supports players' progression.
