Mormal — a hedgerow and orchard course beside the great Avesnois forest

The course is situated near the Mormal forest, amidst a rolling landscape of hedgerows, orchards, ponds, and meadows. An old farm building serves as the clubhouse.

Mormal Golf Course was developed in the late 1980s and reopened in its current form in the early 1990s. Regional architect Jean-Claude Cornillot designed an eighteen-hole course intended to blend seamlessly with the agricultural landscapes of the Avesnois region.

Cornillot utilized hedgerows, fruit trees, water features, and the gentle topography to craft varied holes. The course remains straightforward for beginners while demanding precision from more experienced players.

The eighteen holes measure approximately 6,022 meters. The fairways are quite generous, yet doglegs, ponds, and well-guarded greens ensure each hole is distinct.

The clubhouse, housed in an old farm, along with the restaurant and pitch & putt, lends the site a rural and welcoming atmosphere, conveniently located near Belgium.
