Marcilly

Marcilly is the estate’s main historic course, a 6,303-metre par 72 built by a farming family with architect Olivier Brizon and known nationally for introducing new golfers.

In the mid-1980s the owning family converted farmland into golf. Olivier Brizon designed and closely supervised construction. Practice opened in March 1986, followed by compact golf and the full championship course. Discovery days and junior coaching became central to the club. The estate lies beside Sologne forest on former agricultural plain where nearly ten thousand trees were planted. Open ground, planting, water and woodland edges alternate.

Four par threes, ten par fours and four par fives create a classic championship structure. Broad fairways support high use, while hazards and greens preserve accuracy demands. The club’s official historical reference is 6,303 metres and par 72. Long holes test the full game, with water and greens rewarding patience.
