Royal Limburg — Fred Hawtree’s great heathland within the Tenhaagdoornheide landscape
History
Founded in 1966, the club developed on roughly sixty-five hectares. Fred Hawtree’s first nine opened in 1968, seven more in 1971 and the final two in 1973. Royal status followed in 2017.
Architecture
Firm sandy ground, heather, pines and natural bunkering create one of continental Europe’s strongest heathland settings.
Club experience
The club combines a strong sporting culture with an exceptional natural environment and Challenge Tour history.
