At a glance
La Gloriette is a genuine public nine-hole course at the edge of Tours, measuring 2,664 metres and par 36 within a forty-hectare urban natural area.
History
The course was created through Tours’ public sports and park development. It combines the main nine with an 18-hole pitch and putt, academy, two putting greens and illuminated range.
Flat open ground near the Cher and La Gloriette natural areas is easy to walk and wind-exposed. Planting and wetlands screen the urban setting.
Architecture
Two par threes, five par fours and two par fives create a full sporting structure. Different return tees alter some distances without creating another physical loop.
FFGolf publishes 2,664 metres and par 36 for the physical first loop, with men’s SSS 34. 7 and Slope 68 over nine holes.
Club experience
Year-round public access, an illuminated twenty-eight-bay range, academy, putting, equipment hire and competition support the venue. The 1,200-metre pitch and putt is separate.
