At a glance
Forêt d’Orient is a long 6,232-metre par 71 by Jean-Manuel Rossi in flat woodland and lake country fifteen kilometres from Troyes.
History
The course developed within Domaine de la Forêt d’Orient to complement hotel, nature activities and lake tourism. Jean-Manuel Rossi created a layout for beginners and experienced players, later supported by a strong member association, academy and paragolf programme.
Forest, plain and wetland close to the regional natural park create easy walking but frequent strategic influence from trees and ponds. Wildlife and bird migration strengthen the natural atmosphere.
Architecture
Championship length alternates wooded corridors with broader openings. Water is used selectively and green approaches require depth control. The course is visible from tees, yet the wrong fairway side can close the next shot.
FFGolf publishes 6,232 metres and par 71. Moderate relief offsets some length, while wind, trees and water provide the main difficulty. Multiple tees preserve accessibility.
Club experience
Practice, simulator, hotel, pool, dining, wellness, buggies, seminars and coaching create a complete resort destination.
