At a glance
Jumièges is a public 6,003-metre par-72 course, two-thirds carved through forest before opening onto a plain of Scottish-style rough.
History
Jean-Pascal Fourès created the golf in 1991 through regional and departmental initiative. It became Haute-Normandie’s first public golf and developed within a leisure base with hotel, restaurant, camping and family activities.
The 62-hectare property lies in the Boucles de la Seine regional park near Jumièges Abbey. Two-thirds of the course is forested, while the final section opens onto tall-grass plain.
Architecture
Narrow forest fairways, doglegs and raised greens define the design. The long dogleg-left seventh is stroke index one with a green around 600 square metres. Strong par fives finish the course.
The official length is 6,003 metres and par 72. Four par threes, ten par fours and four par fives require straight driving and distance control.
Club experience
Facilities include a large range with covered bays, a 500-square-metre putting green, hotel, restaurant, camping and buggies, creating a complete public destination.
