At a glance
Forges-les-Bains is a natural Chevreuse Valley course, wooded and gently rolling, remodelled to balance power, accuracy and enjoyable play.
History
Opened in 1990, the course was originally designed by Jean-Manuel Rossi and later remodelled by Michel Gayon. Modern work updated angles, tees, bunkers and several sequences while preserving the original spirit. The club became a recognised southwest-Paris destination for a broad range of golfers.
The course lies in the green Haute Vallée de Chevreuse around thirty-five minutes from Paris. Fairways cross woodland, meadow, natural contour and open sectors. Walking remains comfortable while trees and side slopes create variety.
Architecture
The routing contains four par threes, ten par fours and four par fives. Longer opening holes require distance, while later sequences reward angle and control. Bunkers are readable and players can choose conservative or ambitious routes.
Federation data publishes 6,144 metres, par 72, men’s SSS 72. 1 and Slope 134. The front nine measures 3,102 metres and the back 3,042. Strong par fours and closing par fives give complete rhythm.
Club experience
The club opens year-round and welcomes visitors up to handicap 45. Covered and grass practice, short-game areas, restaurant, pro shop, seminars and buggies complete the offer.
