Golf de Dieppe-Pourville

Dieppe-Pourville is Normandy’s oldest golf club, a cliff-top course founded in 1897 and originally designed by Willie Park Jr. above the Alabaster Coast.

A British colony founded the club in 1897, making it France’s seventh-oldest course. , two-time Open champion and early modern architect, created the original layout. The club survived wars and changing golf while retaining its remarkable setting. The course covers sixty hectares above Dieppe, Pourville and the white cliffs. Channel wind, trees, ponds and views towards Varengeville create strong identity and changing light associated with Monet and Braque.

The cliff-top design combines open holes, tree-lined sequences, bunkers and water. Wind control and green position are essential. It blends coastal and parkland character rather than pure links. Maximum published length is 5,804 metres and par 70. Strong wind can substantially increase effective distance, while trees and water add technical difficulty.

The club opens year-round and welcomes visitors up to handicap 54, with range, L’Albatros restaurant, pro shop, seminars and competition.
