Golf de Deauville Saint-Gatien

La Vallée is Saint-Gatien’s white loop, a 2,977-metre par 36 where precision, elevation and trajectory choice matter more than pure power.

Olivier Brizon created La Vallée for the club’s 1988 opening, using the estate’s naturally lower ground. It complements La Bergerie with a more technical character. The course descends into Pays d’Auge valleys among trees, hedges and slopes. Lower ground creates shelter and changing conditions.

An unusual equal split of three par threes, three par fours and three par fives creates strong variety and changing rhythm. The official length is 2,977 metres and par 36. Elevation and angles make the loop more technical than the number suggests.
