At a glance
Garcelles combines the Clos Neuf and Bois loops into a technical 5,716-metre par-70 course only six kilometres from Caen.
History
The golf opened in 1989 beside a château. Clos Neuf and Bois form the historic 18-hole course, later complemented by the nine-hole Parc. The club hosts a Grand Prix and active Normandy competition.
The estate lies south of Caen. Clos Neuf is more open and readable, while Bois crosses more tree-lined technical sectors.
Architecture
The two loops create a varied par 70 requiring both length and position. Protected greens and trees demand accurate iron play.
The club and FFGolf publish 5,716 metres and par 70. The Atlas records the complete 18-hole physical course as one entity.
Club experience
Year-round access, visitors up to handicap 54, practice, dining, seminars, buggies, coaching and competition support the venue.
