At a glance
Bellême Saint-Martin is a rolling 5,942-metre par-72 course within the Perche regional park beside Bellême state forest.
History
The Normandy Country Club developed a golf, lodging and dining destination two hours from Paris. Éric Vialatel integrated the course into Perche hills, while Grand Prix, Pro-Am and junior activity built sporting identity. The sixty-hectare course climbs and descends across valleys, woodland and water with broad Perche views. Elevation changes effective distance.
Architecture
Blind shots, rolling fairways, contoured greens and four water-influenced holes create variety. The 150-metre sixteenth requires a full water carry. The club publishes 5,942 metres, par 72 and white-tee Slope 135. Moderate length is offset by physical elevation and uneven lies.
Club experience
Hotel, restaurant, pool, wellness, seminars, buggies, an eighteen-bay range and coaching support year-round visitors up to handicap 54. 18 holes; par 72; 5,942 metres; Éric Vialatel; white Slope 135; sixty hectares; water-carry sixteenth.
